How website pricing works
Every website I build falls into one of three tiers, based mainly on how many pages it needs. Standard sites start from £500, larger sites from £750, and large or custom builds from £1,000. The calculator above shows the range your answers fall into, and my pricing page has the full breakdown.
What pushes the price up
Two things move a website up a tier. The first is the number of pages, because more pages means more copy to write and more to build. The second is a blog, which needs its own layout and setup. A contact form, booking link, gallery, map or reviews section is part of the build at every tier.
What every website includes
- Copy written by me for every page
- Domain and hosting setup
- Search Console and Google Analytics, so you can see how people find you
After launch, hosting is £20 a month with your domain in your name, and any edits are charged at £50 an hour.
Questions people ask
Why a range and not one price?
Two sites with the same number of pages can still need different amounts of work. The range is honest about that, and I will confirm an exact price before any work starts.
Do you build online shops?
No. I build websites that bring in enquiries and bookings. If you run a physical shop, a site that shows your products, opening hours and location works well, and that is something I can build.
What does hosting cost?
£20 a month. I host and look after the site, and your domain stays in your name. Changes after launch are charged at £50 an hour.
How accurate is the estimate?
It uses the same tiers I quote from. If anything about your project would take it outside the range shown, I will tell you before you commit to anything.
Can I get help with SEO too?
Yes. SEO retainers start from £400 a month for 8 hours of work. See local SEO for what is included.
